Getting a pet pig is a big decision. You want to make the right choice for you and your new piggie. You will want a pet pig that is socialized (friendly/hand trained), spayed or neutered at time of purchase (they do not make good household companions if they are not), properly weaned from their mother (this takes about eight weeks), healthy (vet health certificate at time of purchase) and the breeder should provide follow-up services including consultation and resources.
